Our Story
Hey there, welcome to our love story! It all started when we bumped into each other (on Hinge 👀), and from the start we just clicked. Come along for the ride as we share some fun moments. We hope you enjoy reading about our journey as much as we've loved living it! Just a warning, it's more a random assortment of moments than a clear linear path.

Bibimbap, Gin and Karaoke
After chatting on Hinge and eagerly awaiting YS's return to the UK from Las Vegas, we went on a date in Newcastle for some food, drinks and singing at an open mic karaoke bar. I was trying to get a picture of the screen that listed some deals but a drunk girl in front of us thought I was trying to get a selfie of us and took my phone to take our first picture together.

YS infiltrates Bowsden
YS quickly becomes one of the girls (living at Bowsden court) going to football games, eating dinners with us, watching shows and helping us carry our shopping.
Lots of pool, bowling and other outings
Such a fun time getting to know each other better and meeting the other's friends.
Americanized YS
YS gets a new wardrobe
YS was virtually flawless. His only amber flag was that he was still wearing clothes from his high school days so it was time for an upgrade.

Bert is born
If you know us, then you know Bert. He is the light of our life.
August 2024
Annie moves to London
After finishing her dissertation, she makes the plunge and heads to London to be with YS.
YS working a desk job
The one thing YS loves more than poker is football. And now he gets to watch games and place bets on them for a living. How cool is that.

Annie's graduation
With a Masters in Human Computer Interactions she's ready to start her UX career.
Winter Wonderland
YS was determined to win a plushie and spent 80 quid winning this giant Squirtle.
Christmas in Seattle
Book of Mormon
In an attempt to better understand Annie's roots, YS agreed to go to the Book of Mormon play. He is now up to speed on all things Mormon and loves hymns such as Nearer My God to Thee. But unfortunately his degenerate ways have left him unable to commit. Sigh.
First couple's holiday to Spain
Everyone knows you have to put your relationship to the test by going on at least one holiday together before committing, so we went on a romantic trip to spain.
Bert gets a sweater
We felt it was time to ramp up Bert's look. We went to a pet boutique to get him the cutest sweater money could buy. The store clerk had a lot of questions and concern for our dog as we were buying a sweater in the middle of summer.
